I was browsing on the internet and came across the dream chalet website  - it struck a cord and I realized that this was exactly the service we  required to assist us in achieving our dream of designing, constructing  and enjoying a chalet in the Alps. We have recently completed our chalet
and will be spending our first Christmas in Switzerland with our family  and friends. 
 
Charles guided us all the way through the process - connecting with the  Banks - advocates - Contractors and giving advise and input all the way  from design to completion. The Contractors did a fantastic job on a very steep site in trying climatic conditions.
 
I haven't seen the chalet complete yet, but my family are currently  furnishing the chalet and I asked my son Adan to rate the chalet – he  rated it 10/10. This is an investment that should not be sold but retained for our future family generations to enjoy.

Being interested in the possibility of building our own dream chalet in Switzerland, a web search found the “Dreamchalet” site and business owned by Charles Koopman.

 A couple of calls later and Charles was showing us a number of available plots and chalets of various styles and sizes in the course of construction. Although we eventually decided on a plot found through another broker, Charles’ advice and contacts proved to be invaluable.

 He introduced us to an excellent architect who designed exactly the chalet we hoped for, and also the construction company, who inspired trust and confidence as well as providing real value for money.

 Our dream chalet has recently been completed on time and to budget and quality and there is no doubt that this achievement owes much to the time and friendly assistance Charles  was able to give us at the outset.

Like many couples we have often dreamed of owning somewhere in the Alps. This however always seemed more of a dream than a possible reality until we talked to Charles Koopman of DreamChalet. He has helped us throughout the process from originally arranging for us to view some possible building sites, putting us in touch with a Swiss mortgage lender, introducing us to builders and architects as well as the Notary. His knowledge of the legal system in Switzerland and how local customs work have been invaluable and he was on hand or at the end of the telephone whenever we needed some help or guidance. We eventually settled on a site in the centre of Ovronnaz a small but beautiful resort with a good snow record and lovely thermal spa, half an hour away from larger better known ski areas and only an hour and a half from Geneva. As with all new builds there are always minor problems but Charles was on hand to help sort these out and we could not have been more happy with the finished chalet, the quality of the workmanship was extremely high and we cannot wait to spend this years ski season in our beautiful chalet.
 
When the chalet was nearing completion we had the help of Charles's lovely wife Maura who helped us with the furnishing of the chalet. Our initial thoughts were that we wanted to buy alot of the items for the chalet ourselves but we are very pleased that we used Maura for most of the furnishings, not only does she have great taste, the logistics of being on site for ordering and delivery would have made the process almost impossible without her. She has thought of everything from large items like wardrobes and beds to bottle openers and crockery.
 
When you are trying to build and furnish a property in a different country you need someone you can trust to be on hand to help you out and we would not hesitate in recommending Charles and Maura to any body thinking of buying a property in Switzerland.

We have just reluctantly returned from Switzerland having just put the finishing touches to our fantastic new chalet in Ovronnaz. Since we first met Charles, just over 18 months ago, he us guided us with great patience and expertise through all the various stages of this project – from finding the land and the builder, to explaining the legal system and to even recommending the best type of building materials to get the right look for our chalet. Maura was also invaluable in helping us furnish the chalet - using her local knowledge of all the best suppliers, organising deliveries, managing our budget and even having a bottle of chilled wine to open when we arrived!Their help and enthusiasm they brought to this project was superb. Het leek een droom: een eigen chalet in Zwitserland. We hadden de nodige informatie verzameld over een tweede huis in de Franse of Zwitserse Alpen. Het enige vaste uitgangspunt was het budget. Aangezien de prijzen van appartementen van de bekende projectontwikkelaars er niet om liegen, kwamen we op het idee ons nog eens verder te oriënteren via internet. En zo kwamen we op de site van Dreamchalet van Charles en Maura Koopman. Al na het eerste telefonische contact ging voor ons een wereld open aan mogelijkheden. Zelf een stukje grond kopen en zelf een chalet (laten) bouwen? Een geheel nieuw perspectief, dat onmiddellijk ook veel vragen en onzekerheden opwierp. Maar vanaf het eerste moment zijn we op professionele wijze door Charles door het hele proces geloodst. Bij het uitzoeken van de grond en de aannemer, maar ook bij zaken die komen kijken rond de administratieve afhandeling. Gaande het traject groeide ons vertrouwen in Charles en de aannemer. Alles bleek te kloppen. Prijzen, afgesproken termijnen en ‘last but not least’ de kwaliteit. Het eindresultaat is fantastisch. Een vrijstaand chalet met een adembenemend uitzicht in de rust van de Zwitserse Alpen. Dus, Charles en Maura, wat ons betreft hadden jullie geen betere naam voor jullie bedrijf  kunnen bedenken!

Zo ver weg een huis laten bouwen? Je eerste gedachte is toch dat je elke week wel op de bouwplaats moet staan om alles te volgen en te controleren.

Maar al gauw bleek het bouwen in zeer goede handen te zijn. Perfect georganiseerd, degelijke afspraken, en snelle oplossingen waar het eventjes tegen zat.

Ook bij de juridische kwesties rond het bezit en het bouwen in Zwitserland zijn we goed geholpen. In 11 maanden tijd stond ons huis er en we genieten volop, van elk seizoen.”
